Energy Star Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Project Description The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star HVAC Program promotes the sale of residential heating and cooling equipment that is significantly more efficient than the minimum Federal standards. The program operates by labeling products that meet the program efficiency guidelines, and providing sales training to heating and cooling contractors to help them better sell the benefits of energy-efficient equipment. The LBNL End-Use Forecasting group has supported EPA in designing the program and identifying the metropolitan areas that were best for piloting the program. We have also assisted in preparing some promotional and technical materials for the program.
