EUF Staff - John Busch
John F. Busch, Jr. is Staff Scientist and Leader of the End-Use Forecasting and Market Assessment Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he has worked since 1983. Prior to that he held positions in Princeton Energy Group/Harrison Fraker Architects and the U.S. Peace Corps in Thailand. He has served as consultant to numerous governments and private companies on energy matters. He holds a Ph.D. in Energy and Resources from the University of California at Berkeley (UCB), a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCB, and a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University. He is the author of over fifty articles and technical reports on energy efficiency and energy policy. Busch's research interests include energy policy analysis; energy performance of buildings; energy efficiency labels & standards for appliances, equipment, and buildings; economic and planning issues for electricity and natural gas, environmental impacts of energy use, and sustainable energy development in developing countries and Native American communities.
